Dogs 'N' All Dog Walking Policies

Leashes

Small and toy dogs may be walked on a retractable leash at the walker’s discretion if that is the owner’s preference.

Medium and large sized dogs will be walked on a 6’ fixed leash

Collars

It is our preference that small, medium and large dogs be walked on a slip-chain, martingale or half-martingale collar for safety as dogs can not pull out of these types of collars. The dog’s house collar will be removed before the walk and replace afterwards. Please make sure the slip-chain collar fits – it should just slip comfortable over the dog’s head and have approximately 2’ free when the collar is snugged up on the dog’s neck just behind the ears.

It is our preference that dogs that pull or are difficult to manage be walked on a pinch collar or Gentle Leader.

Toy dogs and brachycephalic (short-faced) dogs may be walked on a properly fitted harness or fixed collar.

Manners

In order to insure a safe & happy walk, we practice these good manners:
Dogs are asked to sit calmly to be leashed up.
Dogs are asked to sit and let the walker lead going in and out of the door
Dogs are asked to sit while we pick up poop
Dogs are not allowed to pull, jump on the walker or chase other animals

Pick-up bags

We ask that you provide 2 pick-up bags per dog for each walk. Kroger bags are acceptable (and actually preferred for large dogs)
